I survived

Heng ah... I survived the surgery...

Well, this is my first time sleeping on the hosiptsl bed and going thru a surgery at the operation theatre...

Let me share my experience with everyone...

I reached Singapore General Hospital ward 75 at 7am and was allocated a bed to rest. I was told to change into a set of given patient's pajamas and wait. After settled some administration paperwork, I was told that the doctor is ready to operate on me.

I was told to remove all clothing inclusive my underwear and wear the surgery gown. Then, the trolley bed arrived to push my to the operation threatre. Along the way to the operation threatre, all I can see the lights on the ceiling and it's quite a scary experience.

Once I in the OT, the nurses started asking my name, NRIC and sticking ECG patches on me. Saw my doctor and he assured me that everything will be alright. Then i was given some gas to inhale.

After blinking my eyes a few time, the next time I knew was the surgery was already over and I resting at the recovery room. I was in daze and asked the nurse,"is the surgery over already??" She answered, "yes.."

I took a look at my left hand and it all wrapped up like a rice dumpling!!!

After some time, i was pushed back to the ward and i was feeling terrible... feeling dizzy and nauseous...

Finally, I was allowed to go home @ around 5 plus. So good to be at home.

Now I have to be careful with the food I eat and have to keep the dressing dry... So when I bath, I have to using a plastic bag to wrap my hand up. So troublesome...
