last night in Sydney

Tonight is the last night I'll be in Sydney... What an experience I gained from this exchange... The lectures, exams, drinking session, roast chicken from woolies, Makoto Sushi, skiing, skydiving, cross dressing during Halloween and many many more...

Most importantly, the friends I made over here... I will not forget you all... especially Suemay... You have made my exchange in Sydney more meaningful and sweet... thanks for all the memories you given me and remember to look for me whenever you in Singapore hor... **as if she will read my blog...**

All good things will always come to an end, but memories will last forever...

Went to 2 of the most famous beaches in Sydney.. Manly and bondi beaches... The sand is so fine and the sea is so beautiful... I'm having so much fun playing with the wave...

finally... weekend...

horray... i completed 4 out of 5 exams!! As for the last paper... I still got 6 days to prepare... can finally relax this weekend... but also sad to say, it's my 2nd last weekend here in sydney.. *sob sob* Time seems flying past faster when you don't want it to be...

I just came back for my computer architecture exams... super shag out now... The paper is based on 180 marks and it's equivalent to 1 mark per minute as it is a 3 hours paper!! Still, after writing as fast as I could, thinking as little as possible, I couldn't manage to finish the paper. Didn't manage to write anything for a question that's worth 20 marks!!

For all the 4 papers that I took, none of them I managed to finish within the 3 hours period. But the funny thing I observed while thinking hard on what to write for that killer question is that people started leaving the room after 1 hr!!!

I was like.. wat!!! It's a 3 hours exams and aku haven't even finish one quarter of the paper and yet you all had completed it?? hmm... are they really so smart that they can finish the paper in 1 hr time or they just simply bochap???

Oh well... What ever the real answer it may be, it's none of my business... As long as I did my best for all my paper, I'm happy with it...

But still have to pray hard... must at least pass all the subjects... else cannot face anyone back in NTU...

exams periods started...

Today had my first exams in Macquarie... taking Communication Networks... similar to computer networks in NTU...

then have paper tomorrow...and friday and saturday!! friday paper is a killer and i'm not well prepared for it... very scared now... sighz... just do my best and let God to do the rest...

Got to go back to start mugging liao...

Finally... I completed all my assignments!! horray!!

After busy doing my assignments for these 3 weeks, assignments days are finally over. But I got to start facing the reality... assignments days over means that exams days are near. Exams countdown... 10 days!!! Aaaarrrggghhh.....

nvm about all that... Just let me update everyone on wat's happening after the halloween party....

On Friday, 30/10/04...

Today is DLC's annual & Valedictory dinner. It's a formal dinner, so everyone got to be in formal dressing. If you had read my previous blog, I bought a suit just for this dinner. I think is a good investment, cos I really look good in it... handsome guy... hee...

After the dinner, there's live band performance and free flow of beers... and all of us had a wonderful night that day.


On Saturday, 1/11/04...

Today we celebrating Jiysan's birthday by organising a BBQ. It's a first time I'm using a gas BBQ pit from BBQing... The meats cook really fast, kinda spoilt the fun of having to wait for the food to cook with traditional charcoal pit...

Weekdays...

Kinda boring... everyday doing assignments, assignments and assignments....

But wait... It's not all about assignments... I went for movies on thursday night. We did something that's kinda cheapo... We paid for tickets for 1 movie but we actually watched 2...

How we did it... Well... over here the cinema is free seating. First we paid and watched our first movie, "The Notebook" @ 6:40pm. After the movie, we hide inside the cinema and wait for our friends to come to watch the next movie, "anchorman" @ 9:30pm. hee...

hey... before you say we cheapo again, just wanna tell you that watching movies is a very expensive thing to do over here lor... student ticket is AUD$9.50!! tat's is about S$12!!

Review about "The Notebook"... Very nice romantic love story... but the ending kinda sad... *sob sob*

Review about "Anchorman"... very very funny comedy....


On saturday, 6/11/04...

We went to the famous Pancakes on the Rocks near the Rocks market in Circular Quay. Is a resturant not to be miss when you are in Sydney. The pancakes are very delicious and heavenly...

I ordered Calamari, Devil's delight(chocolate pancakes with chocolate syrup and chocolate ice-cream and strawberries) and an ice cream soda... boy... I really can eat alot... actually not... I was the last to finish my dinner... I was trying to finish all my food... dun wan to waste such a nice dinner... cos I dunno when is the next time I'll be going to that resturant... I'm going back singapore soon...

After the dinner, we went scrolling along the habour... Sydney night is so beautiful... and we actually ended in a karaoke lounge!! We sang for total of 3 hrs and we are having a great time there... though it's quite expensive... AUD$45/hr...
