Crazy Halloween Party!!

Hahaha.... I just came back from a halloween party at the uni bar... Wat an experience... This is my first time going for a halloween party and it's so much fun...

Anyone can guess what is my costume??

Well...well... I actually cross-dressed as a girl!! With mini skirts and spaghetti strip!! With a bit of make-up of cos... I look so hot and sexy that some guy actually wanna date me out... hahaha... I think they must be drunk... cos mine is an exit not an entrance!!! You know wat I mean... hee...

Actually most of my college ppl were cross-dressing tonight... cos it's always DLC tradition that the DLCians to cross-dress for the halloween party...

Jonathan, Arnold, Daniel, Terence and I were girls for a night... and Terence look hot cos he actually got himself a pair of big boobs!!

While Sylvia and Suemay dressed up as devils, Mel dressed up as an angel... And they all look so sexy!!

Charlene and Selina cross-dressed as guys... and they are my boyfriends for the night... hahaha...

Yawn.... Very tired now... going to sleep... I'll upload the photos onto the net soon... cya....

Fruitful day

Quite a few things happened to me today...


1) Buying Suit

I got myself a suit for the coming Annual & Valedictory Dinner for my college. There's a suit shop in Macquarie Shopping Centre having promotion now. "BUY ONE GET ONE FREE!!!" That is such a tempting advert... So me and my friend decided to buy 1 and get 1 for ourself and share the cost of the suit btw both of us...So happily we went and shop for our suit...

We chose our suit in last than 5 mins... the salesman just took one 1 for each of us to try on... I wore the coat... hmm... not bad... the salesman said it fits me well... okie... i get this... the price is AUS$522... wow... so ex ah... hmm... me having second thought liao...

Then my friend also finished trying him... and he's also fine with it... so it took only 30 mins for both of us to try the suit... make some alteration here and there... and pay for it... my friend didn't check the price for his suit and his suit cost $599!! wow... more ex then mine... and he only ask me why his is so ex after the payment and walked out of that shop...

I was like huh, you dunno the price of your suit?? he said he assume is the same price as the one he saw previously which is $499... so sighz... I cannot say anything cos I'm the one who chio him to share the cost of the suits with me one...

when i saw the price tag of his suit b4 payment, i was like wow... but dun wan to say anything cos i thought he knew the price and he is okie with it... so no choice... got to pay extra.... and talk about impulse buying....

After splitting the cost, I got to pay $350 for my suit + alteration... so no more shopping or expensive dinner for the rest of my exchange liao....

2) Skipped the wrong lecture

Becos got to shop for the suit, i decided to skip one of my lecture... I decided to skip the boring lecture at 3pm... After buying the suit, i went for my next lecture at 5pm, only to realise that I skipped the wrong one... I skipped an important lecture and now I'm attending the boring one... aarrgghh... I mixed up the timing for my lectures... silly me making such as silly mistake!!

Told Sylvia about it... and she said:"tt's e punishment for skipping lecture just for SHOPPING!"

3) Irritated again

During dinner... kanna irritated by Alpha again... There's this new korean girl who just moved into the college... knowing that being in a new place it's hard to make friends... so I'm like trying to talk to her making her feel comfortable with us... As we are planning wat to wear for a halloween party this thursday, I noticed that she's a little left out of our conversation... so being a friendly guy... *cough* I asked if she wanna join us for the party?? then Alpha tries to push me to her again...trying hard to matchmake us... It's not the first time he's doing that... during the weekend, he not once, not twice, but many many times trying to do that... and keep telling ppl that I'm interested in her... I'm so pissed with that... come on... if being friendly to girls means I like them... that means I got lots and lots of girls whom I like lor... Alpha.. grow up can or not... If you sucks with girls, don't think everyone is sucks at it lor...

Okie.. enough blogging liao... got to start doing my tutorial liao... got to submit tml morning... and....

When can I finish all my assignments.... *sob sob*

DLC Musical 2004

Today my College, Dunmore Lang College, is having our annual musical. The play started at around 7:30pm... I thought not many ppl would want to go and watch the production, but i was wrong. I reached the dinning hall, similar to our hall 8 comm hall, where the play is held at 7:25pm and it was crowded with residents... wow!! so many ppl... My group of friends all arrived around that time... poor us... got to sit all the way to the back...

The musical was very very funny... they sing, dance and joke about the government, the college admin, RMC... and one part of the show, there was a topless girl, I meant those without bra one, and pantless guy running around!! it seems normal to the australians and that girl and guy seems okie to show their private property to everyone.... Guess we Singaporean don't have that guts to do that... Maybe our hall 8 production should try do that too... Xp

This is really an unforgetable play... Not becos of the topless girl but it's so well written and so funny... The casts and crews participated in the play not becos of any points but just for the fun of it... hmm... wonder how many of our hall 8 residents will do that...

Selection of casts was done 6 weeks ago and rehersal started only 3 weeks ago!! wow... how did they come up with such a good performance with such a tight schedules?? **3 claps for the production team**

Another day gone...

Dunno wat happen to me now... Feeling pek chek... Dunno issit becos of the wet weather or not... it's like raining for the passed few days and heard on the radio that there's a thunderstorm coming... :(

I think another reason for having such as lousy feeling is that i kinda irritated by Alpha (have to use code name... cos scared he might read my blog)... It's not the first time my mood changes because of him. Maybe is the way he talk... or the way he behave... I just cannot stand it lor...

One tell sign that shows that I don't like the person is that I don't talk to them or I'll try to minimise any communication with them. Maybe is just my character that I will not tell that person straight to their face that I don't like them... so I choose to avoid...

I realised that something seems missing in my life... But I just dunno wat issit... My friends said I seems wierd these days... I also dunno wat to say... Maybe I just have to slowly look for that missing piece for the jigsaw puzzle of my life... I'm sure is definitely not God that's missing... Cos I have already found that piece... Maybe slowly He'll reveal to me wat that's missing.... I just have to wait patiently...


haha.. i also dunno wat I'm writing now... dun feel like proof reading wat I had written... Maybe I just go and sleep now and hope that everything will be fine tomorrow....

Busy week

Well... I must say that the weather in Sydney is rather wierd these few days. It can reach high of 37 deg in the day then suddenly drop to 19 deg in the evening. I was wearing t-shirts and shorts to my lab during the day. When it's time of dinner, I was like freezing while walking back to my college from the university... brrr...

I have been busy with one of my programming assignment this whole week. Had been cracking my brain so much that sometime I'll just have mental block... Just keep staring at the monitor... now I can say that I have finished the assignment... horray...

But I just checked the unit website, *shit* assignment 4 is out... I was like "WAT!!" Assignment 3 is only due on coming monday and assignment 4 is out!! Come on lecturer, give us a break... I know exams are coming and we need to complete our assignments real soon... but can't you just give it to us on monday?? At least give me my weekend to start writing my BBA250 essay which is due next wed... *shitty feeling*

From next monday, it is exactly 1 month to my exams... *stress* and assignment 4 for the remaining modules will be out too.. *stress stress* How to study and do assignments are the same time? How I wish that the government allow people to be cloned... so that I can cloned myself and I can do many many things are 1 time... like me sleeping while 1 of my clone study for exams and few others doing my assignments... hmm... Don't know if there is another me exist in another dimension or not??

Oh well... is friday night... I'll reward myself by not doing anything tonight... Leaving everything aside till tomorrow...

Help!!! I'm melting!!!

Today is a very hot day... Is the first time I'm perspiring under the hot sun. Temperature is around 32 deg... I know, I know... I'm around the same as in Singapore wat...So wat the big deal right??

The average temperature in Sydney since I arrived is always around 17-25 deg... During winter, I even had to tahan 5 deg at night... so 32 deg is very hot!!!

Bad news from the weather man... Tomorrow will be a hotter day!! :S

Australian Idol Live!!

Went to the live recording of Australian Idol today!!! What a new experience I got from this exchange again.

The eventful day started from the time Sylvia, Jonathan and I got up the bus to the recording studio. Weeks after weeks of watching australian idol, I didn't expect the studio is just 10 mins bus journey from my hostel!!

We were supposed to meet Angela at the bus stop next to the studio at 5pm. But when is about 5:15pm, Angela is like still not arrived yet. Sylvia gave her a call and we realised that she's waiting at a different bus stop. Ok, ok... is my fault, I told Angela to alight when she sees the Riverside Corporate Park... but what I did not know is that there is an east entrance and a west entrance for the Corporate Park. So she alighted at the east entrance while the rest of us are waiting near the west entrance. Angela... If you reading my blog, sorry to keep you waiting at the wrong bus stop again... Xp

Finally, we reached Global Television, the studio for the recording of Australian Idol!! The first thing we got to do is to start queueing outside the building waiting to enter the studio. After 30 mins of waiting, we are finally allowed to enter the building.

In the building, we were told to wait again. Same thing... we waited and waited and waited... then the good news came after 30 mins of waiting... we were told to process to the next holding area... WHAT!! we had to wait again!! All of us are getting tired from all these waiting... But what to do... we are already there and we are just a few steps away for the recording studio... Finally, we were told to enter the studio... Horray!!!

By that time, the studio was almost filled with audiences from the previous batch together with friends and families of the idols... lucky for us, we managed to find seats in the centre, 2 rows behind the cameras. Btw, the studio is definitely smaller compared to what we see on television.

15 mins to live recording... The band getting ready... The producer giving some safety briefing and started playing games with the audiences... He got a few kids from the audiences to dance in front of everyone... there was this 3 years old girl whom the producer got to dance for us... she's so cute!!

5 mins to live recording... The host, Andrew and James came out from backstage and introduced the judges, Mark, Marcia and Dicko as they walked out from the backstage... By then, everyone is ready for the live recording...

Live recording starts... Today theme for the show is "Beatle" and all the idols get to choose their favourite beatle's song and they were allowed to rearrange the song... Some did a very good jobs, while some... just sucks at it.

The show ended after 1 1/2 hours of great performance by the idols. Personally, I like the performance by Chanel, Marty, Hayley and Courtney. They are ready good today, especially Chanel... Well done... As for the others, Anthony, Casey and Ricki-Lee, I think they did not do a good job for their songs today... Although the 3 of them are hot favourites to win the australian idol, I think 1 of them might be leaving tomorrow night because of their poor performaces today.

After the show, we decided to take a walk back to our hostel. The journey is about 3-4km but it took us about 1 hour to reach our hostel cos we were slowly strolling back... talking and joking along the way... Xp

Well, another enjoyable day that I had in Sydney and hopefully there will be more to come... Australian Idol rocks!!!

Australia's Voting Day

Today is australia's most important event of the year. It's their voting day!!

After weeks of campaigning by the different parties, today is their judgement day where the people will be deciding who they want to be in their government for the next 4 years.

Wimbledon

Just came back to my room not long ago. Went to watch the movie, "Wimbledon" with my college friends. btw, the college over here means hostel. Till now I still wonder why the Australian call the hostel as college. Oh well... who cares anyway... As long they don't call it prison is fine with me...

It's quite a nice movie... especially if you watching it with your bf or gf... Typical romantic british love story. It's from the same director who directed "Bridget Jone's Diary" and "Notting Hill"... If you like both the movie, "Wimbledon" is the movie not to be miss... Also watched the trailer for "The Notebook" and "Bridget Jone's Diary 2"... They both seems like nice shows too... Hmm... should I go to the cinema to watch them?? The movie ticket here cost $9.50 each for student!!

Fried quo tiao with curry powder??

Ate something interesting this afternoon during lunch. Fried Quo Tiao with curry powder. It's the first time I ate such a funny quo tiao... It taste not bad initially, but after sometime, the curry powder started to make you feel really thirsty.

Actually is my own fault to have curry powdered quo tiao. When I ordered my fried quo tiao, the lady asked if I want it fried with soy or curry powder? Being tired after my morning lectures, the word "soy" just didn't ring any bell, so I ordered my quo tiao with curry powder.

Well, sometime you just have to bear with the consequences for your own mistake.

Found this Psalm while reading Our Daily Bread today. Feeling ashamed now. Being a christian for so many years, this is the first time I read about this psalm.

It's so assuring and comforting to know that God watches over me and keeps me from all harm all the time.

I kinda enjoy reading my friends' blog now. Since I cannot be physically around with them all the time, reading their blog allow me to have the chance to get know what's happening around them...

Time to give up??

Today is the start of term 4, which means that exams is coming soon in 6 weeks time!! Well... We can always look at things from different angle, I can see it as, "chey... still got 6 weeks to enjoy before exams what..." or I can choose to believe, "Alamak!! I only left with 6 weeks to prepare for my exams!!"

As for me, I decided to choose the latter. With just 6 weeks and 8 more assignments to do... I kinda feeling stress up now... I don't know if it's just the stress from all these assignments and schoolworks or there's something wrong with me today, I just don't feel the same... Not the same crappy and happy fellow... Every thought seems so nagative... Just feel like giving up everything and just submit sub-standard work for the rest of my assignments... But I'm just not that type of person. I am a perfectionist!! I just don't allow myself to submit any work that I don't find it perfect enough for submission.

Maybe being a perfectionist can sometime give extra pressure to oneself.

Soccer is dangerous!!

Well... another ordinary day is about to end and a brand new day is coming soon. Nothing special happened today. Sylvia is back from Singapore and she seems homesick through she's back for only a few hours.

Played soccer with friends from the college. It has been quite sometime since I last exercise. Tired after a few runs... so I decided to become the goalkeeper so can "keng" a bit... Xp Managed to make quite a few beautiful saves but I almost lost my "little bro" when the ball suddenly ramp into me under my belt!! Luckily, the ball missed "him" and hit onto my left hip... Heng ah...

Tonight is the result day for Australian idol. So sad to see my favourite, Harley to be called out as the bottom 3. This is her third time in the bottom 3. Luckily for her, she's also the first to be ask to go back to join the others who have made it through this week... yeah... I can still see her perform for next week show...

School starts tomorrow after 2 weeks of term break. Hope I can wake up early for my lectures tomorrow as I had been waking up late during the break.

Believing in angels??

Do you believe in angels?? Well... I do... I always believe that God will send His angels to help us everytime we need His help and He will make everything right for us.

I remembered watching this series called "Touched by an angel" that was shown about 10 years back. Each episode is a touching story about someone who is about to face major crisis in their life and how God send His angels to help them.

But His angels don't just suddenly appeared right before that person when the problem arise. Is like God knows everything and He will send His angels down on earth to be either friends, teachers or even neighbours of that person first. Just when that person needed God's help and guidance, the angels will then walk up to them, glowing with a helo, revealing that they are angels sent by God to help them. But it's up to them whether to trust and believe in God and follow His angel's guidance.

From that series, I learned to believe that my angels are with me all the time. My friends are my angels! My family is my angels! Even everyone along the orchard road is my angels! Is like whenever things seem so wrong for me or I'm feeling down, someone will be there to make everything right for me.

Have you ever wonder why whenever you need help the most or you feeling sad and needed someone to talk to, suddenly your phone started ringing, your msn messenger pop out a new messenge box or even your friend suddenly appears from nowhere? Well, they are the angel send by God to help you and cheer you up.

So let me be your angel and you be mine...

Another day gone.

Today is a more productive day than yesterday. Manage to complete 2 assignments and 1 tutorial. Assignments counter: 5 - 2 = 3... Sighz... why aren't that number a 0??!! I'm sick and tired of all these assignments... why are there so many assignments to do?? After I submit all these assignments in 2 weeks time, the next set of assignments will come again... aaarrggghhh....

So tired now... Maybe will sleep early tonight... Hopefully I'll have the determination to wake up early to attend church service tomorrow morning. Xp God has been so good to me all these time, so must go and give thanks...

What a low productive day.

Today is a low productive day for me. Didn't do much for any of my 5 assignments.

It's been raining continuously for more than 24 hours and the average temperature is around 12 degree throughout the day...

After lunch, I was trying hard to do my COMP332 assignment. Staring hard at the questions for almost 2 hours, flipping through the textbook and lecture notes and squeezing every brain juice that I got, but not a single line code was written... Finally, I gave up.

I put on a jacket, took my umbrella and went to the lab to do my COMP224 assignment. The short journey to the lab seems longer today, with strong winds blowing and heavy rains pouring, I almost turned into an ice cube!! Keep thinking why I wanna go to the lab in such a weather...

After 2 hours in the lab, I only managed to complete 4 out of 8 SQL queries for my assignment... Come on ah Teck, you can do faster than that... what happened to you today??

The wet weather making me moody, sad and unhappy.
