Are we trying too hard??

Have you ever got such an experience that when you trying very hard to look for something, you just can't find it, and when you decided to give up looking for it, the thing just suddenly pop out right in front of you??

Well... for me it's always the case...and it happened to me again today.

I was supposed to meet Angela at the library this afternoon to pass her my thumbdrive containing the photos we took during our Canberra trip yesterday. I was aware she's having her project discussion at that time, so in order not to disturb her, I decided to walk around the library looking for her instead. I went up and down, left and right, practically all around the library trying hard to look for her but she's just no where in sight.

After 15-20 mins, I still cannot find her so I decided to SMS her asking her where she is. While waiting for her to reply, I decided to go to the computer room to surf the Internet and check my emails. Once I sat down in front of an available computer, a familiar voices suddenly struck me from behind... When I turned around, there she is!! Angela is right in front of me!!

Is that call fate?? Or just coincidence??

Sometime are we just trying too hard looking for something?? May it be love, money, sense of security, etc... Or can they just suddenly appear before you when you are least aware of it??

Who knows... Only God will know...

Canberra

This is the 3rd time I got to wake up at 5:30am within these 2 months. The first time is for my skydiving trip, the second time is for a conservation volunteer work and this time is for the long awaiting Canberra trip.

First, we met at 6:30am outside the international office. Then is a 4 hours bus journey to Canberra.

First stop, Mount Ainslie. We are given only 5 mins to take photos!! The view is great from the mountain top as you can see the whole of Canberra city from there. How I wish we can stay a bit longer at Mount Ainslie.

Second stop, Parliament House. It's the place where Australia's laws and bills are passed. It's also the battle ground for John Howard and his Coalition Party against Mark Latham and his labor Party. The room that they are debating is also known as the People's Room. Heard from the guide that the queen is not allowed in the People's Room because it's the "people" room and many, many years ago, a queen was beheaded just because she went into that room!

Have you ever wonder why the kangaroo and the emu are used in the Australia's Crest? It's because they are the only 2 animals in Australia that cannot move backward! Therefore they are used to represent Australia as a forward moving national. Interesting right?

Along the way to our third stop, the driver drove us around the streets where most of the embassies and high commissions are located. The difference between an embassy and a high commission is that an embassy belong to a republic national while a high commission belong to a commonwealth country that's under the queen. Learned something new again...

Third stop, Floriade at Commonwealth Park. This year theme for Floriade is water and there are lots of tulips... We are like drowning in the sea of tulips and they are simply beautiful!! The scent of the flowers simply fill the air and is this the smell of spring?? If my sis is here today, she will go crazy man... cos tulip is her favourite flower...

Last stop of the day, Australia War Memorial. It's built in memories of all the australian soldiers who had died in honour in all the wars that australia had fought.

There is also an eternal flame that keeps burning rain or shine, day or night in the centre of its courtyard. Fascinating!!

Hop on the bus and is the journey back to Macquarie University. Its started raining soon after that. God is so good to us. He holds the rain during the day so that we can enjoy ourselves at Canberra.

All I can say now is "Praise the Lord!!"

Influenced to start writing blog

Keep wondering why I want to start writing my own blog. I think I'm influenced by angela and sandy as both of them got their own blog in blogger.com. Maybe this is a good way to share my happiness, sadness, anger, etc to everyone. Sometime when things are hard to talk about, maybe writing a blog is a good way to express myself.

well... English is always my weakest subject and if you find it hard to understand what I'm writing, sorry about that... Xp

First time

This is the first time I'm writing blog... Hopefully I can write something good to share with everyone... Do keep coming to my blog to read about what's happening in my daily life...
